Although this is a very short story, I am sreally struggling to get into it.

It has occurred to me how 'elitist' reading can be. This selection of books is a simple list that I have found and not the, 'definitive list'. Reading is personal and not something that can be prescribed. Of course there are 'Classics' but one person's classic is not another's. I could argue that even the early Superman comics are classic!
